Help Teachers Work Smarter, Not Harder
Voyager Passport meets the student at his or her skill level. The five essential components of reading are strategically integrated in systematic 30 to 40-minute daily lessons. Through explicit introduction of priority skills, struggling readers access increasingly complex text.

Two Components of Every Lesson |
Word Works provides grade-appropriate instruction in phonemic awareness, letter-sound recognition, word reading, and sight words. Each skill is taught explicitly, deliberately, and with a purpose in mind. |
Read to Understand gives struggling readers daily opportunities to successfully apply newly learned skills with accessible and engaging text. Vocabulary instruction builds students' lexicon while comprehension instruction helps students read more strategically. |
Curriculum Features
Leveled daily passages engage, inform and increase concept knowledge in science and social studies. Words introduced in Word Works are practiced in context in Read to Understand. |
Twelve topical units called Adventures increase concept knowledge in science and social studies |

Extra Fluency Readers provide additional fluency practice during lessons. Each reading passage has an accompanying audio track. These audio CDs can be used independently during Adventure Centers to give students a model of fluent reading. |
Adventure Centers extend learning and reinforce skills. Struggling readers can demonstrate independence and competence. Teachers can also use the centers to engage and manage students not receiving Voyager instruction. |
Correction procedures are embedded throughout each lesson to ensure accuracy. These research-based procedures are skill-specific, and help students achieve mastery of the given skill. |

Reteaching allows teachers to intensify instruction for low responders, including students in need of Tier 3 intervention. |
