Five Billion Correct Answers and Counting on VmathLive!
DALLAS, June 10, 2009— Students logged into VmathLive®, Voyager's math technology platform, have answered a record setting five billion math questions correctly since the program's inception in January 2007.
Students reached the record number through everyday use of the program, as well as participation in three annual World Math Day competitions and Math Mania events that have taken place across Florida and the Western portion of the United States. The exact number of questions answered correctly can be viewed at www.vmathlive.com.
VmathLive provides a stimulating learning environment for students that extends the time students spend learning and practicing essential math skills. The online, interactive program motivates and engages math students, reinforces the concepts and skills taught by teachers in core math programs and provides practice in a high-stakes test format.
The topics and content in VmathLive are aligned to Voyager's math intervention system, Vmath® and provide students additional opportunities for independent practice. Students will now also be able to utilize the program's newest feature, the English/Spanish dictionary. The English/Spanish dictionary supports the needs of English Language Learners, helps with their transition from Spanish to English and supports the acquisition of academic vocabulary.
