Voyager and 3P Learning Host Fourth Annual World Math Day Competition
Students from around the globe compete online as they aim to once again to set a new world record
Dallas, TX., February 1, 2010 - Last year, a new world record was set after a staggering 1,952,879 million students from 38,058 schools in 204 countries answered 452,681,681 math questions correctly during the World Math Day competition. Will there be a new world record set this year?
We believe the answer is yes! That's why Voyager and 3P Learning today announced that they will host the fourth annual World Math Day online math competition on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at www.worldmathday.com. During the competition, students will take part in real-time battles of speed and skill and may participate at home, school or anywhere they can access the Internet.
Registration begins on February 1, 2010, and closes on March 2, 2010. Participation is free and open to children ages 5-18 from around the globe. Existing Voyager VmathLive schools and 3P Learning Mathletics schools will have automatic entry into the event. Teachers and students who are not current VmathLive or Mathletics users can register for free at www.worldmathday.com.
Once students register, they will have access to a practice session until the competition begins on March 3. Students will be able to compete against other students as long as it is March 3 somewhere in the world.
