Ohio Students Show Improvement on High-Stakes Test after Using Voyager Passport   One witness to the success in Liberty-Benton is Resource Room Teacher Sharon Shoemaker, who said she loves and believes in the Voyager curriculum. "With the help of Voyager and Ticket to Read, I have put two students back into the regular classroom in reading this year," said Shoemaker. "I had three fourth graders score proficient in reading on the Ohio Achievement Assessment Test (OATS). Two third graders scored proficient, and one of these students scored Accelerated!" Shoemaker said. "Three of my other third graders also increased their OATS score from the fall 2008 to spring 2009 test, by 7 to 16 points! It is all because of this program." Liberty-Benton will continue its use of Voyager Passport and Ticket to Read for the 2009-2010 school year, and due to the success in reading, the district will also implement Vmath® beginning this fall.
